Deyn named best-dressed ahead of Kate Moss

Kate Moss has been knocked off the top of a best-dressed list by model-of-the-moment Agyness Deyn.
34-year-old Moss had taken the best-dressed crown for the last two years thanks to her prized ability to influence the contents of women's wardrobes.
Although she still receives praise in Tatler magazine's annual list, it is Moss's rival Deyn, 25, whose sartorial choices enlist most respect.
Tatler also puts Samantha Cameron, the wife of Tory leader David Cameron, in the top 10 for being "consistently chic and never flash". The magazine adds: "She brings some much-needed glamour to the Tory Wives Club."
Actress Keira Knightley takes fourth place, for being a "red carpet style icon" who works the "grungy but clean" look during the day.
Anouck Lepere, the Belgian model girlfriend of Moss's ex, Jefferson Hack, is sixth.
Alexa Chung, the girlfriend of Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner and presenter of T4, is 10th. The magazine says she is often "seen in a navy children's princess coat with a velvet collar which cost a tenner in Brick Lane".
Former chip girl Deyn, winner of Model of the Year, recently replaced Moss in the latest Burberry campaign.
The fashion label says Moss is "still part of the Burberry family".
Tatler writes of Deyn: "Whether she's sipping chai at the Russian Tea Rooms in Primrose Hill or kicking back at Henry Holland's studio, She's fash-fabulous... Rockin."
It still credits Moss with influencing women, giving her second place in the top 10 and writing: "If she wears it, the rest of the world follows suit. She has proven her designer credentials with her sell-out Topshop clothing range."

Sex Pistol Accused of Firing Fist at Woman's Face

Forget the Queen, God save Johnny Rotten if the brutal, and despicable allegations against the punk rock legend are true.
Johnny Rotten: Click to view the docs!
According to a lawsuit filed moments ago in Los Angeles County Superior Court, the Sex Pistol singer allegedly beat the crap out of a female assistant and called her every horrible name in the book after the taping of a television show in 2007.

In the lawsuit, Roxane Davis claims Rotten, real name John Lydon, "cocked back his fist ... and punched her in the face" when the rocker was forced to stay in a room at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel that didn't share a door with his other assistant ... a dude named Rambo.

Davis says both Rotten and Rambo unleashed a verbal tirade, calling her a "fat f**king c*nt, f**king c*nt, and fat f**king whore."

Davis, who was an employee of the show Rotten was working on, says she reported the incident to her supervisor, "but the complaints fell on deaf ears."

But get this -- Davis admits the company did give her one warning about Rotten: "Under no circumstances was anyone to touch Rotten's hair."

So far, TMZ has been unable to contact Rotten for comment.

David Cook sizzles on pop chart

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Newly crowned "American Idol" champion David Cook took over America's Hot 100 singles chart on Thursday, sending a record-breaking 11 new titles into the tally a week after he won the top-rated TV talent show.

The old mark was set by teen idol Miley Cyrus (as her Disney Channel character Hannah Montana), who placed six new titles on Billboard magazine's flagship pop singles chart in November 2006.

The Beatles hold the all-time record for songs charted in a single week, with 14, during the height of Beatlemania in 1964.

But while the Fab Four owned the top five songs that week, Cook's best showing was a No. 3 start for his original recording of "The Time of My Life." The first single from his upcoming debut album sold 236,000 downloads, Billboard said.

His other entries included another new song "Dream Big" at No. 15, and covers of U2's "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For," at No. 22, and Collective Soul's "The World I Know," at No. 28.

Cook, 25, who hails from Blue Springs, Missouri, is preparing to start recording a debut album that is due for release in the fall, according to his new label, RCA Records.

"Idol" runner-up David Archuleta, 17, who had been favored to win the Fox network competition, landed three songs on the chart, led by his cover of John Lennon's "Imagine" at No. 36.

Fox's "American Idol" and Beatlemania share some characteristics, but observers who mention manufactured singing stars in the same breath as the biggest pop band ever inevitably invite snorts of derision.

Dancing on Ice stars pick up bug

'Dancing on Ice' stars Gareth Gates and Greg Rusedski may have to miss this week's show after picking up a bug.
According to reports, the skating stars have been too ill to rehearse their routines in recent days and may not be able to take part in Sunday night's live show.
A source told The Mirror: "Gareth and Greg both became poorly yesterday and we're all crossing our fingers they recover for Sunday."
"Sometimes it lasts 24 hours, sometimes three days, and leaves you feeling very weak."
"It's important we stop anyone else going down with it. We're doing everything possible to keep contestants apart so they can't cross-infect."

Stone Temple Pilots add dates to reunion tour

Stone Temple Pilots [ tickets ] have added several new dates to the band's massive North American reunion tour, which kicks off this weekend in Ohio. The group will launch the trek with a headlining slot Saturday night (5/17) at Columbus, OH's Rock on the Range Festival, one of almost 60 cities on the band's first tour in six years. The outing is scheduled to run through October, with a pair of newly added shows following the group's Oct. 24 appearance at New Orleans' Voodoo Festival. Details are included below. The band announced the reunion tour in Los Angeles last month, performing publicly for the first time since breaking up in 2002.After forming the band in 1992, the grunge-rockers--frontman Scott Weiland, guitarist Dean DeLeo, bassist Robert DeLeo and drummer Eric Kretz--recorded five studio albums and went on to sell more than 35 million copies worldwide, according to a press release. They parted ways after completing a tour behind 2001's "Shangri-La Dee Da," which is their most recent studio album.Weiland went on to join Velvet Revolver, which split with the singer last month amid a volley of acrimonious press releases. The DeLeo brothers co-founded rock quartet Army of Anyone with Filter frontman Richard Patrick and former David Lee Roth Band drummer Ray Luzier, but that band slipped into hibernation following its 2006 self-titled debut."It's been five years we've been apart, and there's all these young kids who had older brothers who were STP fans, and now they're these little hipsters--18, 19, 20 years old--and they're STP fans," Weiland said at the band's press conference last month announcing the reunion. "These kids come up to me all the time and tell me they loved the band, that they have all of our records. To be appreciated by a whole 'nother generation of fans, all of a sudden discovering you, it's kind of what I did with the classic bands I love--the ones that influenced me." Dean DeLeo recently told the Associated Press that STP plans to record a new studio album after the tour wraps.

Scarlett Johansson - Johansson Eyes Music Festival Debut

SCARLETT JOHANSSON would love to display her vocal talents at a music festival - if only she could combat her stage fright.

The actress released her debut album Anywhere I Lay My Head this week (begs19May08) - and is so pleased with the disc of Tom Waits covers, she wants the chance to play them live.

But she'd have to conquer her stage fear first.

She says, "It would be sad to not get everybody (band members) together. Whether it's at a festival or somewhere that's kind of fun.

"(But) I have horrible stage fright, so it would have to be overcome. People approach me (about playing live) and my usual answer is, 'Ah, I'll think about that'.

"When I do think about it, I start to get really sweaty and uncomfortable and itchy around the neck."
